John (Brody, too): I hit a son.
Upon chance Natalie’s scream, Evangelist races into the lodge. He’s stupid to find Marty retentive Natalie’s baby. It’s a boy! Evangelist beams, but his and Natalie’s experience is broken by Marty’s admission: “We hit a son.”
Marty loses touch with reality, and Natalie and Evangelist are scared. Paramedics arrive, and Marty wants to ride in the ambulance, but Evangelist convinces her to ride with him in the car. Evangelist tells Nat that he loves her and the baby, and he promises to meet her at the hospital. Before leaving, Evangelist surveys the lodge with concern. READ MORE
